We believe that every student should have
the opportunity to perform so every year we hold 2 performances.
The first is in December, at the end of the
fall session. This is mainly a show to allow the dancers
to demonstrate what they have learnt since September as
well as to give dancers a chance to perform their own personal
choreographies if they choose to.
The second is in May, at the end of the winter
session. This is our annual performance where all
proceeds are given to the Montreal Shriner's Hospital for
sick children.
GALAXY AWARD WINNERS FOR 2001
The Cameron School of Dance not only provides the opportunity
for dancers to perform annually, but it also boasts 3 competitive

competition teams, as well as our Funk troupe.
The Ballet teams are known as "CELTIC MIST" and
the Highland dancers as "THE LOCHIEL DANCERS".
The Ballet teams consist of 20 dancers and the Highland

The Funk Troupe, also known as the CANADIAN

meet certain criteria such as: dance more
than one class a week (preferably Ballet

great showmanship, physical talent such
as flexibility and strength and most importantly
show dedication and commitment to the team
and their regular claass(es)
Dancers are selected from the classes in the school or
are selected by audition.
It has been an exceptional year this year!!!!
