Mommy & Me Ballet -  This is a fun class for Boys and girls. Forty-five to sixty minutes of a mixture of  basic Ballet, rhythmic corner work,  creative improvisation and use of ribbons.  The dancers are taught to follow the beat in the music, skip on both feet, use of arms with feet etc……… This is a fun class for this age and many of the exercises are done to Nursery Rhymes.. This class stimulates the child’s self expression and helps the dancers discover the joy of dance through the exploration of space and energy. We use imaginative, fun and musical activities to build body awareness and improve gross motor skills. Mommys or Daddys are encouraged to dance with your child.

Ages accepted:      3  yrs old

Ballet Combine -  This is a fun class for Boys and girls. Sixty minutes of a mixture of  basic Ballet, corner work,  barre etc.  This class stimulates the child’s self expression and helps the dancers discover the joy of dance through the exploration of space and energy. We build body awareness and improve gross motor skills. The dancers learn the basics of ballet with technical terms. The last fifteen minutes of class is Tap.

Ages accepted:      4-7  yrs old

Hip-Hop Levles 1&2  – This is a high energy class for dancers who are beginners or advanced that challenges the dancer by introducing them to the free form of urban street-style dancing.  One hour of a none-stop work-out and choreography using basic street style dancing (Funk, Hip- Hop).  No dance back-ground is required. Very popular class. Separate classes divided by age and technical expertise. Boys welcome!

Ages accepted:  7-9 yrs, 10 & 11 yrs

Advanced Hip-Hop Level 3 - This is a high energy class for dancers who are advanced that challenges the dancer to the free form of urban street-style dancing.  One hour of a none-stop work-out and choreography using basic street style dancing (Funk, Hip-Hop).  No dance back-ground is required. Very popular class.

Highland Dancing – Two classes are available. One for beginners and one  for advanced  competition dancers.  For the new dancer, they will begin with an introduction to the Highland Fling and learn basic Pas de Basques and Hi-Cuts. Lots of fun and as well as great body discipline. Levels 1&2

Ages accepted:  6 yrs & up divided by technical expertise.

Irish Dancing –  For Hard Shoe and Soft Shoes. There is a Beginner class as well as a class for dancers who have studied this before. The class will be divided by technical expertise.   Reels, Jigs and basic movements will be covered.  Levels 1&2

Ages accepted:  6 yrs & up 

Tap -  Rhythm is at the heart of this discipline. Add speed and timing and you have one of the most entertaining dance disciplines enjoyed by all age groups. This is a one hour Tap class.  The class will include basic tap technique as well as rhythmic work and choreography.  This is a fun class and a great work-out for all ages. Levels 1,2,3 &4

Ages accepted:  6 yrs & up – Adults

Jazz-Hop -  This is a combination class made up of Jazz movements and techniques mixed with a few Hip-Hop moves. Warm-ups, centre work, corner work and choreography are taught. Four different classes available for all levels.

Ages accepted:  5-7 yrs , 8-11 yrs, 12 yrs & up

Musical Theatre – This course helps provide the dancer with a strong expressive base for performing. In this introductive course, students will learn a choreography to music from hit musicals. The class(es) will focus on choreography, improvisations, acting skills and dance for theatre and film. A Ballet, Highland or Jazz back-ground is required for this class. Levels 1&2

Ages accepted:      7 yrs and up

Classical Ballet –Classes divided by dancer’s level in dance. We offer beginners through advanced classical ballet. Ballet is the base for all disciplines of dance. Levels 1-5

Ages accepted:     8 yrs and up.

Contemporary/Lyrical Dance -   Dance background required (1 year classical or Jazz). Modern version of classical ballet.. Great expressive form of dance. Class will be divided according to levels of experience. level 1 to level 3

Ages accepted:  8 yrs plus

“Boys Unlimited” Bboying  class (7  yrs & up

Have fun and become a part of a Boys only dance class.  The object of the class is to attract more boys to dance.  We hope to remove the obstacles which stand in the way of boys wanting to learn to dance.  Our hope is to encourage young boys to explore the joys of dance in a comfortable, fun and challenging atmosphere.  No tights and tutus are permitted.  This is an opportunity for boys to meet peers who have the same passion for dance and performing. Two classes one for beginners and one for the more advanced boys.  Levels 1&2

Ages accepted:      6 yrs & up, 13 yrs and up

Pointe Class –  Two classes offered. There is a beginner level as well as a more advanced level . Emphasis on foot strengthening exercises and alignment. A thorough and careful approach assures a safe and solid foundation that allows the student to be in control and at ease as she dances on pointe. The class will be divided by technical ability. Please note this class is not in the year end show. Levels 1&2

Ages accepted:      11 yrs & up if on pointe.

Ballet Technique Class for the team dancers –  This is a Ballet technique class for competitive dancers only. Focus will be on developing a solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement) and use of arms (port de bras). Please note this class is not in the year end show.

Acro – Combination of the basics of gymnastics tumbling with dance movement. Different classes available for all levels. The class will be divided by technical expertise. Levels 1-4

Jumps & Turns– This class is a technique class that is dedicated to learning, improving and perfecting technique in jumps, kicks, turns etc. Plyometric training as well as stretch and strengthening is also taught to improve the dancer’s power. Competition dancers and recreational dancers are welcome. The classes will be divided by levels. Please note this class is not in the year end show. Levels 1-3.

Ages accepted:      10 yrs & up

Parent and Tot -  A fun filled class where parents and their toddlers can dance together using exciting props all while learning the magic of dance.   Little ones will learn: the basics of a dance class such as dance class structure and basic dance moves.  This class will help little ones develop coordination, learn rhythm, and will help develop both large and fine motor skills. Don’t miss this wonderful introduction to dance. Class duration 45 minutes.

Ages accepted:      18 months – 3 yrs

Pre-Jazz -  Boys & girls welcome! This is a fun introduction combination class made up of Jazz movements and techniques mixed with a few Hip-Hop moves suited to little children. Warm-ups, centre work, corner work and choreography are taught. Class duration 45 minutes. Level 1

Ages accepted:      3-4 yrs

Ballet Barre BootCamp  - (NO ballet experience needed, this is not a technical dance class)A one hour class inspired by Classical Ballet will improve your: muscular endurance, cardio vascular fitness, muscle tone and flexibility.  Basic ballet barre and floor work exercises will get your muscles feeling toned, long and lean.  You don`t have to know how to do a “grand tour jeté” to get the sculpted body of a ballet dancer.  Plié, jeté and arabesque your way to long, toned muscles.Please note this class is not in the year end show.

Ages accepted:      12 yrs – Adults

Butts and Gutts class

(a mat or towel to lie on is recommended for this class)

A combination of easy to follow exercises that will ignite your core for one hour.  Set to music, this class will target your abdominals, glutes and back muscles.  You will strengthen your deepest belly muscles as well as the muscles that help support and protect your back.  This class will combine core strengthening exercises with Pilates inspired movements to strengthen and tone your “Butts and Gutts”.  This class is a great compliment to the Ballet Bootcamp class if you are looking to get a great workout 2 days a week.

Ages accepted:      5 yrs and up – Levels 1 and Level 2

All the above courses depend on registration. If the numbers don’t warrant a class you will be notified and either you may pick up your refund at the studio or choose another class. All classes are subject to schedule change if  the numbers are less than estimated.. Please be sure to attach your tuition to your registration form.
