Jazz: A combination of moves using technique, rhythm and coordination with emphasis on fun and enjoyment. The styles and techniques are constantly developing with time. Exercises are done at the barre, center floor and across the floor.
Tap: Basic Tap technique is taught to young dancers developing their rythmn and knowledge of music. There are combined classes (Tap and Ballet) for the younger dancers besides a Tap only class. Exams are followed in these classes.
Hip Hop: A style which incorporates street styles, funk and jazz. This requires a high energy level and lots of enthusiasm.
Irish: Traditional Irish dancing as you would see in the productions of Riverdance or Lord of the Dance. It is an excellent cardiovascular workout.
Highland: Traditional Scottish highland dancing performed mostly in Kilts to the music of the bagpipes.
Creative Dance: Free and expressive form of movement which uses proper dance technique through center and across the floor work. A variety of modern principles are combined to create a dynamic class.
Yoga: This is the Kripalu style and the sessions are 11/2 hours duration once a week. Learn how to releive stress, tone and stretch your body and learn to relax the healthy way with a fully certified Yoga Instructor. Class size is limited so please register early
Stretch: A class designed to safely increase the body's flexibility and strength. This is a great class to learn how to prevent muscle injury due to tightness. Most of the class is spent lying on the floor, but don't let that fool you, it is a great workout.
Streetkidz: This class is geared to teenagers who like to dance to today's music with "dance video" style. This class is geared to the beginner to intermediate level dancer and is composed of mostly choreography.
